The team recently joined Transition Belper at their Belper Goes Green festival. This festival aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices within the community. During the event, we had the opportunity to share our project with members of the public. The children also joined us in building bird feeders, which they could hang in their gardens or balconies.
Over three days, various events and activities, including music, talks, crafts, and environmentally friendly initiatives took place. We collaborated with local artists, conservation groups, and enthusiasts to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our natural world and the health benefits of spending time in nature.
The festival provided a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing individuals to connect with others who shared similar concerns. Through various activities, we shared simple ways to reduce our impact on the planet. We understand that the issue of climate change can be overwhelming, confusing, or simply exhausting for many people. By participating in this event, we hoped to inspire and empower individuals to take action and make small changes in their daily lives.
Overall, the Belper Goes Green festival served as an important platform for connecting the community, raising awareness about environmental issues, and celebrating the natural world. By working together, we can generate positive change and create a brighter, more sustainable future.
