Collaborative Nature Recovery in the White Peak: Building Ecological Connections

Natural England, the Peak District National Park Authority and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust brought together Farm Advisers in Taddington for an inspiring day of knowledge sharing. The focus was on coordinating our collective efforts towards nature recovery across the beautiful White Peak landscape.

Our LIFE in the Ravines project team proudly presented our ongoing work in the dales, showcasing how we’re actively restoring and enhancing these precious habitats. The day emphasised our shared ambition to not just protect individual sites, but to create meaningful ecological connections across the plateau.

It was fantastic to see so many organisations in one room, from our hosts to representatives from the Forestry Commission, Severn Trent Water, National Trust, Chatsworth Estate and other partners all dedicated to reversing biodiversity decline in this unique limestone landscape.

Attendees left with an understanding of our nature recovery priorities in the White Peak and, importantly, how each organisation’s projects contribute to the bigger picture. Working together for a wilder, more connected White Peak!
