On 9th July, the LIFE in the Ravines team was delighted to take part in Defra’s Staff Engagement Day 2025, a fun, informal, and inspiring event bringing together colleagues from across the Defra family.
We hosted a stand showcasing our work restoring and protecting England’s ancient ravine woodlands. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other teams, share knowledge, and highlight the impact of our conservation projects.
Throughout the day, we spoke with a wide range of colleagues, from policy leads to field staff, all keen to learn more about the biodiversity and habitat recovery work happening through the LIFE in the Ravines project.
Events like these are so valuable for building connections, sparking new ideas, and understanding how our collective efforts contribute to the bigger environmental picture.
